A New Leash for Life Rescue is a volunteer-led organisation founded by Marcene Lines, who has spent over nine years rescuing dogs and has helped rehome around 7,000. Working with trusted rescuers abroad, the charity identifies dogs in need, ensures they receive vaccinations and travel documentation, and brings them safely to the UK for foster care and adoption. A dedicated team of volunteers and foster families supports rehabilitation, assessment and careful matching to suitable homes. Funded entirely through donations, sponsorship and fundraising, the rescue is driven by the belief that every dog deserves a warm and loving home, regardless of their past.

BDRUK (Blind Dog Rescue UK) is a small charity focussed on the rescue and rehoming of blind and partially sighted dogs, BUT WE ALSO REHOME FULLY SIGHTED DOGS so please browse our dogs regardless of whether or not you would consider a dog with sight issues.

Dogs Trust is one of the UK’s leading dog welfare charities, supporting dogs and their owners since it was founded in 1891 by Lady Gertrude Stock. Guided by the belief that a dog is for life, the charity provides care for dogs in distress, helps find loving new homes when needed, and supports owners during difficult circumstances. Dogs Trust works across the UK to protect the lifelong bond between dogs and people, offering practical help, education, and advocacy at every stage of a dog’s life. In the last year alone, the charity provided care for over 11,700 dogs without homes, continuing its long-standing mission to create a better future for dogs and the people who love them.

Leash of Life has been rescuing and rehoming dogs since 2013, run entirely by dedicated volunteers driven by a love for dogs. The charity helps dogs from pounds and, where possible, also supports the rehoming of locally based UK dogs. A small team of mainly Wiltshire-based foster carers provides home environments for new arrivals, helping with house training, lead walking and basic manners while assessing each dog’s needs. This careful preparation ensures every dog is matched to the most suitable forever home and given the best possible start to a new life.

Run entirely by volunteers and founded in 2019, Stray2me Rescue focuses primarily on helping rescuers in Romania to save dogs & cats who have been abandoned or suffered cruelty. We fundraise to pay for food & veterinary care and we run spay & neuter campaigns. We find homes for as many of the Strays as possible in the UK. Where resources allow, we also help with owner surrenders of UK bred dogs.
