Wiltshire’s rural landscape and historic towns make it well suited to rescue dogs that benefit from calm surroundings and regular exercise. Dogs rehomed here are often matched with homes offering stability and time for companionship. Many rescues use foster homes to assess dogs before rehoming. Local adoption supports thoughtful and lasting placements.

This lovely 5 year old boy is Albie. He was adopted through us a number of years ago but his family have had a baby and Albie isn’t coping. He has moved out to a relatives home but this is only a temporary solution and he needs to find a new home as soon as possible.Albie is a very sweet, loving boy who just needs an adult only home where someone is around a lot of the day (although is fine to be left for a few hours), a secure garden and places nearby where he can be walked without too many dogs in his face as he is a little lead reactive (this can improve with positive reinforcement and time).A really nice boy who is at that great age with lots of life left, energy enough for long walks but able to relax when at home.

Buddy

Wiltshire

Age8 years
BreedCrossbreed

Are you right for Buddy?Buddy is an 8.5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier crossbreed looking for an understanding home who can help him flourish and come out of his shell. He is a very sweet boy who lived quite a sheltered life, but he is progressing well with his known handlers and doggy friends. Buddy enjoys walking with calm dogs here at the centre and also enjoys gentle fuss with his handlers. Is Buddy right for you?Buddy is looking for patient adopters who are happy to take things at his pace to help him settle into home life and build relationships. We would be looking to place Buddy out into a home on a foster placement initially so our training team can continue to support his transition into a home, so potential adopters within an hour of the centre would be beneficial. He is looking for a quiet, adult only home as Buddy can struggle when overwhelmed with lots of new people. Buddy can be nervous of walks, so a secure garden is a must to ensure he has a safe place to explore. A home where any leaving hours are kept to a minimum would be needed, with any leaving needing to be built up gradually as he continues to settle.
