Leia is a big gentle giant that is looking for a home to call her own. Leia came to us after her owner wasn't able to look after her anymore. Leia is a lovely lady that is very affectionate and playful. When she first meets you, she can be a bit nervous but in time she will warm up to you and becomes a very affectionate dog. Leia in her previous home lived with another dog but in the centre, we have seen she prefers her own company and can be quite vocal towards other dogs, so she is looking for a home where she is the only pet in the household. Leia is looking for a home that is able to help build her confidence and continue on with her training so that she can be the best dog we know she can be.Apply to adopt a pet like Leia...Leia is a big gentle giant that is looking for a home to call her own. Liora, a 2 months old female Bullmastiff available for adoption from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in Greater London

Meet Liora, our gentle Bully cross pup!Liora is a sensitive, cuddly puppy who is excitable around people and loves a fuss!Liora is looking for committed owners, with a good knowledge of guardian type dogs, that can offer her the time and patience to help her grow into a confident adult dog. Liora is likely a Bull Mastiff cross and will likely grow to be a large dog, meaning that training will need to be a priority from the get-go.With other dogs, Liora has shown to be a little worried and nervous. She is happy to potter around the other dog but needs time when it comes to greeting and interacting. For this reason she could potentially live with a patient, steady role model type dog that can help her gain her confidence around other dogs and teach her some valuable life skills.Liora is a gorgeous girl, but due to her breed size and mouthy puppy behaviour she would be more suitable to live with sensible older children. As she is a young pup who will need toilet training from scratch, a private garden is essential.Like any young pup, Liora will need guidance, training and plenty of enrichment as she grows, but she is a smart little pup with lots of potential. With the right support and patience, she is sure to grow into a sweet companion. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Liora, you can e-mail our rehoming team on rehoming@battersea.org.uk to register your interest. We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual dog, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehome/dogsPlease be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog in question.
