Albi is a Foxhound X Beagle born 28/06/2020. He is a lovely boy who likes nothing better than playing with his toys or chasing a ball.Albi has lots of energy and can get quite excited he will therefore need some further training but is an intelligent boy who will learn quickly.Albi is OK with other dogs when he is out on walks but would need to be the only dog in the home. Albi can live with children that are over 12 due to his size and energy. We don’t know if he can live with a cat. He has lived where there were horses and chickens.Albi travels very well in the car.Re homing within a 50 mile drive of Bourne Lincolnshire. Please check the mileage before calling to avoid disappointment. High fencing required. Are you right for Evie?Meet Evie! This sweet girl hasn't had the best start to life and has had a long journey here with us at the centre where she has came on well. Evie is a very nervous girl and we believe she has never been in a home before, she lacks a lot of confidence but we have found that a dog companion really helps her, therefore she must go home to live with another dog. Evie will require a quiet household with considerate people who are invested in giving her the time and space to help build her confidence. Evie will require multiple meets here at the centre followed by home trials to ensure she is happy and comfortable in her new home. Our Training Team here at the centre will be on hand to guide adopters and Evie through the entire process.Is Evie right for you?Evie loves to have a run around our secure field here at the centre with all her new dog pals and she will require a secure garden so she can explore her new environment safely. Evie will require ongoing confidence building and training to bring her to her full potential. Adopters with previous experience of very nervous dogs are preferred but not required. If you are willing to open your home and heart to this amazing girl, fill in an application and don't forget to 'Favourite' her!

Are you right for Fred?Meet Fred, a fantastic 5-year-old foxhound and the ultimate adventure companion! Wherever you go, he’ll be right behind you, tail wagging and nose sniffing everything in sight. This sweet chap would do best as the only pet in the home, though he wouldn’t mind having walking buddies. He can live with primary school-aged children and will need owners who are around most of the time at first, as he absolutely adores his people. Fred is an active boy, so he’ll need a family who loves giving him plenty of exercise and engaging his clever mind.Is Fred right for you?Sniffing is, without a doubt, Fred’s greatest passion in life. Honestly, if sniffing were considered an art form, he’d be the Picasso of paws! He offers a super cute paw and sits like a proper gentleman—especially if you give him some cheese!

Are you right for Hartley?If you are after a big-hearted adventure buddy who brings joy (and a fair bit of laughter) everywhere he goes, Hartley might be just your lad. At three and a half years old, this Foxhound is a gorgeous blend of goofy charm, boundless curiosity and classic hound enthusiasm. He is a Big Friendly Giant who does not quite realise how large he is, so is looking for a family with secondary school aged children, who are confident around a dog who bounces with excitement. He is currently enjoying learning some great life skills, such as loose lead walking! Whilst we have been working with Hartley in indoor spaces here at the centre, we suspect Hartley has previously lived outdoors so would be looking for a home that can help continue Hartley’s gradual transition into indoor living. He lives in a group living setting at the centre, with access to outdoor areas and he does spend most of his time outdoors. If you have a suitable outdoor establishment with another dog, this would be a lovely stepping stone into a home. Hartley would have on-going support from our welfare team to ensure he is getting the contact with people he very much loves whilst living in a slightly different environment. Hartley is very much the perfect companion dog. If you are someone who enjoys a dog who makes friends everywhere he goes, Hartley will make your heart melt daily. He is wonderfully friendly with other dogs, leans in for fuss like the oversized teddy bear he is and treats every new person like a long-lost pal. He is endlessly curious, loves exploring new environments and is in his absolute element when he is using that incredible hound nose during tracking or scent games. Car journeys are a breeze with Hartley—he jumps straight into the boot without a second thought. You will just need a good-sized boot space to fit his impressive frame and keep him safely contained, especially as he can be a bit silly and animated with his happy tail while travelling.

Are you right for Latte?Latte is a gentle, sensitive girl who may be worried when she first meets new people, but with patience and a calm approach, she really begins to blossom. She prefers to take things at her own pace and will come to you when she feels safe and comfortable. Once this relationship has been formed she will happily cuddle up with you on the sofa and openly seek affection. Latte does sometimes get overwhelmed when out and about leading to her being reactive around other dogs, so she would benefit from use of a secure private outdoor space for some chill time. She is also nervous around bouncy dogs but could potentially have clam walking buddies. She could live with sensible secondary school-aged children who understand her need for a calm and predictable environment, as she can be nervous and jumpy around loud noises she also needs to be able to have her space respected when she takes herself off for quiet time. Latte has shown to guard items (food) that she sees as valuable. This clever girl who already knows several tricks and enjoys using her brain.Is Latte right for you?Latte has a medium energy level and would enjoy regular walks and gentle enrichment, balanced with plenty of downtime in a quiet home. She is very clever girl and and thrives on positive reinforcement which makes training enjoyable. She cannot be left alone for long periods, so any time apart will need to be built up very slowly and patiently to help her feel secure. Her ideal home will be calm, understanding, and committed to continuing her confidence-building journey. With the right people who can give her time, reassurance, and consistency, Latte will make a loyal and rewarding companion. Due to her shy and nervous nature, Latte will need multiple meets with potential adopters.

Are you right for Patch?Patch will benefit from adopters who feel confident supporting a dog who is reactive around other dogs due to frustration. He has, on occasion, redirected this frustration, so he’ll be wearing a muzzle and staying on lead during walks. Due to this, Patch would love a home with access to quiet walks away from lots of dogs. He is looking for a private, secure garden to have a peaceful space to relax and play, it would not be ideal for Patch to have neighbouring dogs as this would increase his frustration levels in the home. Patch is happiest as the only pet in the home and can live with secondary‑school‑aged children but would need to be adults only to walk. A home where he can be safely separated from the front door during comings and goings will help him settle comfortably.Is Patch right for you?Patch is a lovely, friendly and excitable two‑year‑old Foxhound who has had an unsettled start in life, yet still greets the world with enthusiasm and a huge heart. He adores toys, playtime and anything that lets him burn off energy, and he throws himself joyfully into every game. Adventures are one of his favourite things — he happily jumps straight into the car, eager to see what the day holds. Patch is incredibly affectionate, loves being close to his people, and enjoys feeling part of whatever’s going on. He’s also very food‑motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding, and he thrives when given chances to learn, play and connect.

Are you right for Rocko?Rocko is a happy Hound who is more than ready to find his perfect match. He prefers a quieter, adult-only household. Rocko gets on well with other dogs and could live with them in his new home provided they get along during meets at the centre.Is Rocko right for you?Rocko was sadly found straying at 8 years old. He hasn’t spent much time in a home so some of the basics like housetraining might still need perfecting. However he is fine being left home alone for several hours. He loves to get out and about and in typical Hound form he will be wanting to sniff all the smells around.

Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home

Todd is a super friendly, but very energetic boy! He can be quite vocal towards other dogs whilst out on his walks due to wanting to play so would benefit from further training and socialisation. He enjoys treats and toys and loves a good play around with the staff in his kennel and on walks. Todd is the happiest when he is outside in our enclosed compound area off lead and running around with his toys. He would happily stay there all day! We think that Todd needs a reasonably sized fully enclosed garden that he can spend a lot of time in burning off all of his energy in between walks. Todd needs a family that is around a lot so he isn’t alone in the house for too long. His new family will need to have the time to ensure he is getting a lot of exercise every day and be able to take him to extra activities such as agility or scent work to help engage his brain and keep it stimulated.We believe that Todd needs to be the only dog in the home so that he has all of the focus on him whilst he still needs extra training. Todd loves other dogs but can be very over the top whilst out on walks.Additionally, we think that Todd needs to be in an adult only home.Please do not apply for a dog if you have a holiday within the next 3 months.*Applications that are successful will be provided with further information on each dog to the best of the charity’s knowledge.
