Date of Birth 30/06/2021Breed Jack Russell X SpanielSex FemaleCan live with cats NoCan live with dogs NoCan live with younger children NoCan live with older children 16+Neutered YesVaccinated YesMicrochipped Yes Aggie is a spirited, 3 year old crossbreed that has come into our care as an unclaimed stray through the dog warden. Aggie is full of energy and is looking for an active household where she will have her exercise and mental stimulation needs met. Aggie would be suited to being the only pet in the household so she can have all the attention she deserves and training she requires to thrive. She can live with sensible children aged 16 and upwards who will suitably interact with her and appreciate the need to give her space when she needs it. Aggie is very eager to explore on her walks, and can pull on the lead. Due to her size, this is manageable but her new family would benefit from working on loose lead walking when she is in her new home. Aggie has the potential to learn very quickly. She is very food orientated and responds wonderfully to positive rewards based training, she therefore would benefit from an owner who can continue with her training with kindness and consistency. Aggie can be cautious around new people and situations. She’ll need slow, patient introductions to unfamiliar faces. However, once she warms up, Aggie has the potential to be a loyal and affectionate companion. Aggie will need her new owner to be around the majority of the day initially, while she gets familiar with her surroundings and routine, but leaving hours can slowly be introduced once she is settled. If you’re looking for a lively, loving dog who will keep you on your toes, Aggie might just be the perfect match for you! Alan, a 2 years old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier x Jack Russell Terrier available for adoption from Pads Dog Rescue in Scotland

Pads Dog Rescue

Alan

Scotland
SexFemale
Age2 years
BreedStaffordshire Bull Terrier x Jack Russell Terrier

Alan came to us from his owner, he arrived with Blue the Staffie. The boys exercise here together but bring out the worst in one another so rehoming them separately is probably in their best interest.Alan has had little training with lead walking and has not been allowed off lead, he is reactive to other dogs but as he and his brother would egg each other on he hasn’t had the opportunity to meet other dogs on his own, we will continue to try and work on his suitability around other dogs but for now, is likely best rehomed with an easy going female dog or on his own.He will chase cats and has never been around children so any children should be dog savvy and at least 10 years of age.Alan’s owner didn’t have a car so he isn’t used to it, but is not sick just anxious. As he is still working on recall, his own private and secure garden would be advantageous.

BreedJack Russell Terrier

Are you right for Axo?Handsome Axo has come into our care through no fault of his own, as his owner was sadly no longer able to care for him. Despite the changes he’s experienced, Axo has remained a happy and affectionate little lad who greets everyone he meets with a wiggly tail and lots of love.Axo is currently living off-site in a foster home where he is settling in really well and enjoying a comfortable routine. He has been mostly housetrained and travels well in the car, making him a great companion for little adventures. Axo does have a history of being left for short periods, but we would recommend any time alone is built up gradually as he settles into his new home. He’s a friendly and social boy when out and about, so we think Axo could potentially live with another dog following a successful meeting here at the centre. We also think he could happily live with sensible secondary school aged children.Axo is a real cuddle lover who enjoys the simple comforts in life – a cosy bed, a warm sofa, and plenty of snuggles with his people. He’s looking for a loving forever home where he can continue to feel safe, cherished, and part of the family.

Beatrice

Devon
SexFemale
Age8 years
BreedJack Russell Terrier

Are you right for Beatrice?Beatrice is an eleven-year-old Jack Russell Terrier looking for a loving home with gentle, compassionate, and understanding adopters. She is now blind; can possibly see shadows and the way she has adapted to her world around her is an inspiration. She could share her home with teenage children – sixteen years plus. Beatrice could share her home with a calm older dog, as well as a cat. She has no history around small furries, or livestock. She travels well in the car. She is housetrained – In her foster home she has shown that she can make her way outside to her garden once the route is familiar. Beatrice is friendly with new people; they do need to let her know that they’re there first by chatting to her so not to take her by surprise. A quiet home environment without too much going on, and without too many people coming in and out would be perfect for Beatrice, and a home and garden without too manty steps to get used to.

Belle (right on pic) is a 10 year old Jack Russel Terrier who was handed over to us with her brother Buttons after their behaviour changed with a new baby in the house. They have been friendly with staff here since they arrived but cannot be in a home with children and would be best as the only dogs in the house. They have lived together their whole lives so we would like if they could be rehomed together. They are house trained, crate trained and have some basic training. They walk nicely on the lead.

Biscuit

Gloucestershire
SexMale
Age1 year
BreedJack Russell Terrier

Biscuit is as sweet as his name depicts! He is a Jack Russell boy who came to us as part of a group. He has always lived in a pack and finds the company of dogs helps his confidence Biscuit can be shy at first, but soon comes round and wants to be close to you, he is a sweet chap with soulful eyes and so much potential. Sadly he didn’t get out and see much of the world when he was a pup, so a lot of things are still new for him! He would appreciate a family that is gentle and kind and can introduce him to new things at his own pace. However, he is quietly inquisitive and it won’t be long before we see a whole new lot of confidence from this short legged legend. Applications may be popular for this boy, so please allow some extra consideration time when you submit your applications , and add as much detail about what you can offer this lovely boy. Could you be the proud new parents of Biscuit?

Biscuit is a lovely older gentleman looking for his forever home. He has firmly stolen the hearts of the Pawprints team !Biscuit Biscuit is a handsome older gentleman who would like to find a quiet home to spend his retirement years, he is on some medication for his legs as they have become a bit stiff as he has gotten older, but it doesn’t stop him! He loves to have a run around and chase a ball and will still happily go out for some walks. He has previously lived with another dog and has been relaxed to see them whilst with us, but this needs some further assessing and will be done soon. He would suit being the only dog and having people around most of the time, he really loves fuss and attention and will happily sit on your lap once he knows you. Biscuit has been known to not take a liking to male visitors in the home but has lived with and been around men so may just need a safe space in the home when visitors are there. Biscuit would prefer a home with adults only and no visiting children, he likes his peace and quiet! Vets are very scary to biscuit, and he does need to be muzzled as a precaution, we have started muzzle training with him and will show new adopters how to carry this is on
