Fairy came in on the 20th of May via another rescue. She came from a puppy farm and was a breeding mum who spent her life in a cage.Fairy is a friendly girl who can be a little shy at first. She knows how to sit but will need further training, including housetraining. Due to her past Fairy has never experienced living in a typical home and struggles with this environment. She is incredibly sound sensitive and will panic at unexpected new noises. She must live in a very quiet location with access to rural walks.Fairy will need experienced owner who have plenty of time and patience to dedicate to her rehabilitation. She needs a calm and predictable routine to help her feel safe and would prefer to not be left on her own, particularly in the early days. Our preference would be for her to live with another, similar natured, calm dog who can help her build her confidence. She will be looking for a home without children due to her shy nature. Fairy would benefit from having her own, secure garden.Scroll through the gallery of images above or click to openΔ document.getElementById( "ak_js_1" ).setAttribute( "value", ( new Date() ).getTime() );You must have an appointment booked after applying to adopt in order to meet the animals. You are welcome to drop off donations at any time or come into our reception office with any enquiries. We are constantly striving to improve all aspects of our work. Meet Kara ️ Kara is a lovely older crossbreed, around seven to eight years old, with the sweetest, gentlest nature. She’s the kind of dog who’s simply happy to spend time with you, whatever you’re doing. She enjoys pottering around the garden, loves a gentle stroll, and is equally content curling up in her bed for a cosy nap. Kara is a clean and tidy girl who asks for very little—just a loving home where she can enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Sadly, Kara came into our care as a stray. She wasn’t microchipped, and despite every effort to trace her owner, no one came forward to claim her. Now she’s ready to find the forever home she truly deserves. Kara would make a wonderful companion for an older person or a quieter household looking for a calm, loyal friend. She’s happiest by your side, whether that’s enjoying a gentle wander around the garden or simply relaxing together at home. Her hearing isn’t the best these days—although she somehow never misses the sound of a packet of treats being opened! We like to think she might just have a touch of selective hearing. Kara is a settled, content, and affectionate girl with so much love to give. She’s ready to become a cherished member of a family who will appreciate just how special she is.
