Bear, a 9 months old male Rottweiler X Akita available for adoption from Mutts in Distress in Essex

Mutts in Distress

Bear

Essex
SexMale
Age9 months
BreedRottweiler X Akita

Meet Bear a beautiful crossbreed (said to be Rottweiler x Akita). He is only a baby at 9 months old and has had a really horrific start to his short life. Bear came to Mutts after being abandoned in a flat. He was left alone in this flat for several months with someone feeding him through a letter box, surrounded by his own faeces and urine. Despite going through this, he has been totally forgiving of people. He is happy to have attention from the volunteers and even came out on our very busy funday event to greet strangers in the crowd. Bear would enjoy a dog free home. Not cat tested. He could possibly live with older teenagers who are used to larger breeds. Large breed experience is best preferred for Bear. There must be someone out there able to give this beautiful boy the home he deserves and to show him love. He will make an amazing companion for someone.

Introducing our 8 month old, adolescent Rottweiler, Bear! Bear is a superstar and he quickly stole the heart of everyone here at the centre, after arriving due to no fault of his own! This handsome boy is in peak adolesence and is showing behaviours typical for his age. He lacks confidence in new environments, but LOVEs learning new things! He thinks he is still a tiny puppy and can fit on your knee, but will get adult sized zoomies! He is extremely affectionate, but can be unsure of being overly handled, for this reason he would be best with children of secondary school age or older. Bear could live with another confident, friendly dog, dependent on successful meets. When Bear is unsure, he may bark, but he is learning some really good focus work and acing his training plan! He would benefit from attending training classes, but he has already ticked off all the basics, its just the harder skills he needs to master!

BreedRottweiler

Sweet Bella came into our care as her previous owners could no longer keep her.She is a sweet girl, who absolutely adores being in the company of her favourite people. She loves her favourite people so much that she can sometimes forget that personal space exists, climbing onto your lap for a fuss and always trying to give you her paw.She loves playing with all her toys, especially the soft squeaky ones, and enjoys going out for her walks. Although we feel it is best for Bella to be the only pet at present, she walks nicely with other dogs so we feel she would benefit from a home where she can continue socialising with dogs outside of the home.Bella can be quite shy when she first meets people, so will benefit from her new owners introducing her to new people and situations slowly and at her pace. Once she trusts you, her sweet, playful personality really shines through.Do you have the space in your home for this big bundle of joy?

Hello… I’m Bitzy. ️If you’ve been dreaming of a dog who thinks she’s a lap dog, no matter her size, then I think we might just be the perfect match. My favourite place in the whole world is snuggled up as close to my people as physically possible. I absolutely adore cuddles and will happily squish myself onto your lap, lean all of my weight into you, and soak up every bit of love and affection you have to give. Personal space? I’ve never really understood the concept! If you’re looking for a little shadow who wants nothing more than to be by your side, then I’m definitely your girl.Everyone who meets me falls in love with my sweet nature. I absolutely adore people and have the kindest, gentlest heart. I’m a big softie who simply wants to love and be loved, and I promise I’ll repay your kindness with endless cuddles, waggy tails and unconditional devotion.Life hasn’t always been straightforward for me, and because of that I’m hoping to find a family who can give me what I’ve always deserved: stability, routine and lots of love. Once I know I’m safe, my beautiful personality really shines. I’m happiest when life is predictable and I know my people are there for me.I’m fully house trained and have lovely manners around the home. As much as I love being with my family, I’ll need any time left on my own built up gradually so I can learn that you’ll always come back for me.When it comes to walks, I much prefer peaceful adventures where I can take my time having a good sniff without too many other dogs around. Busy places can make me feel a little uncomfortable, so quieter walks are much more my style. Give me a calm countryside stroll or a peaceful wander with my favourite humans and I’ll be one very happy girl.I’m looking for a home with children aged 14 years and over who can understand when I just want to relax and enjoy some fuss. I’d also like to be the only dog in the home, and I don’t want to live with cats or other pets. I could happily share my home with small furry animals as long as they are safely housed in secure enclosures out of my way.More than anything, I’m searching for someone who wants a best friend. Someone who doesn’t mind a big cuddle monster climbing onto the sofa beside them… or on top of them! I promise to fill your home with love, your heart with happiness and your lap with plenty of Bitzy. If you’ve got a cosy sofa, a warm lap and lots of love to give, I’ll bring the cuddles.Love always,Bitzy boo xxxxKey info: Large breed, Children 14+, Housetrained, Secure garden, Only pet in the home, Needs to build leaving hours

Hi, I’m Brandy!I’m a 2 year 9 month old Rottweiler x Mastiff girl looking for a loving family to call my own.If you’re looking for a dog with a big personality, then look no further! I’m a super excitable, happy-go-lucky girl who loves life and greets every day with a wagging tail and a huge smile. I can be a little giddy at times because I get so excited about making new friends and exploring the world around me.Being a Rottweiler x Mastiff, I’m a big girl with an even bigger heart. Because of my size and enthusiasm, I can be quite strong on the lead, so I’d love a home with someone who has experience with larger breeds and can help me continue working on my manners.I’ve previously lived with another dog called Bailey, who is also looking for a home, so I may be able to live with another dog pending successful introductions. Unfortunately, cats aren’t for me – I don’t really like them, so I’d need a cat-free home.I’ve also lived with children in my previous home and enjoyed being part of family life. As long as any children in my new home are comfortable around a big, bouncy, silly girl like me, we could be the perfect match! The kennel team are still getting to know me, and they’ll update my profile as they learn more about my personality, likes, and dislikes. What I really want is a family who will give me plenty of love, guidance, and fun adventures. In return, I’ll bring lots of laughter, affection, and endless companionship to your life.Could you be the forever family I’ve been waiting for? I can’t wait to meet you!My adoption fee is £350.

Brian May, a 4 years old male Rottweiler available for adoption from RSPCA in Hampshire

Brian May

Hampshire
SexMale
Age4 years
BreedRottweiler

Personality:Please welcome to the stage our very own resident rock star Rottie Mr Brian May. If you are ready for a Kind of Magic and are looking for someone to love then this big soft cuddle monster could be the dog for you. Brian is a friendly, playful boy who like most rottweilers’ doesn’t know how big he is and can be a little bit clumsy. He enjoys his walks and can walk calmly around other dogs and people. He enjoys his toys and a fuss from his favorite person. He can be strong on the lead at first but will walk nicely after the initial excitement.Behaviour:Brian is a big boy weighing 41kg and can jump up and pull on the lead so he will need a calm, strong and confident adopter who is able to commit to ongoing training to help him become the best version of himself. Experience with rottweilers or a similar guarding breed is ideal, knowledge and understanding of the breed will set him and his new family up for success. Brian can be uncomfortable in certain situations and adopters will need to be able to read when Brian need space/a break and advocate for him at these times. Full support and guidance from our behaviour team will be given and adopters will need to be open to working with us and following our guidance.Housing:Brian will need a garden where he can let off steam and will need a predictable routine including lots of exercise and mental stimulation. He was able to be left alone for short periods in his previous home so he should adapt to being left for some of the day once settled. He cannot be rehomed to the SO16 area.Children/pets:Brian needs a home where everyone is over 16. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home but could make doggie friends for walks. He lived with a cat in his previous home so could potentially live with a dog savvy cat again as long as adopters are prepared to do a gradual introduction and be prepared to actively manage their interactions, he could live with small animals who are kept separately.Vet history:Brian is fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment. Castration may not be suitable for him so whoever adopts him should consider working with our behavior team to determine if this is the right choice for him and be open to alternatives.

Brock, a 2 years old male Rottweiler available for adoption from Rottie Friends Rescue in Somerset

Brock

Somerset

BreedRottweiler

Brock is a male Mastiff Rottie mix thought to be around 18 months old. Sadly another unclaimed stray dog :-( Brock is super friendly but typically has no idea of his size and can be very bouncy when excited. He likes other dogs and could live with another dog that appreciates his ruff and tumble play style! He unfortunately arrived with very sore eyes and as suspected will need entropion surgery to correct this condition where eye lashes grow inwardly and scratch the eyes. He will have this surgery and be neutered prior to re homing. Brock will need large breed experienced owners who can continue his positive training.

Woof to you all! I'm the super handsome Bruno. I am looking for someone to help me with my insecurities and guide me in the right direction.Bruno 1's Notes:Bruno is a handsome boy who unfortunately found himself back with us due to his behaviour in the home.He is a friendly boy, who loves spending time out and about on adventures. He is super clever and being food focused, wants to learn new things.Bruno loves nothing more than sitting having cuddles with you, especially if it means a treat may end up his way!He has been good around other dogs and mixes really well on lead.We are looking for Bruno to be the only pet in the home due to his behaviour requirements, but to keep him well socialised with other dogs when out and about on walks.Bruno is also looking for a quiet adult only home with no visiting children. He can be very strong willed and is looking for a new owner who is very experienced with large breeds where strict rules and boundaries will need to be put into place to give him the best chance.Bruno was displaying guarding behaviours when it came to his owner leaving him alone, where he would bark and get very distressed, so is looking for someone to be home a lot of the time, then slowly build up over time to leave him for short periods. His guarding behaviour was also if someone wanted to either enter or leave a room and he would choose to guard doorways to stop anyone passing. This is something that we know can be worked on, with someone willing to put the time and effort into him and we will offer behaviour support with him.Bruno is looking for someone to put their everything into giving him a safe and stable home that he deserves.friendly with strangersgood on the lead

Cash, a 1 year old male Rottweiler available for adoption from Dogs Trust in Essex

Dogs Trust

Cash

Essex
SexMale
Age1 year
BreedRottweiler

Are you right for Cash?Cash is a 1 year 7 month old Rottweiler with a sweet but sensitive nature, looking for a calm, understanding adult-only home. He can be a little unsure with handling, particularly around his head and neck, and may come across as hand shy at first, so he’ll need patient adopters who are willing to build trust at his pace. Cash enjoys his walks and loves the freedom of running off lead in secure areas, and would thrive with a private garden where he can relax and play. While he can walk alongside calmer dog companions, he would prefer to be the only pet in the home, as he can become overexcited and struggles to read other dogs’ behaviours. Cash has mild hip dysplasia which is not currently requiring any treatment. Our Rehoming Centre team will be happy to discuss this in more detail with potential adopters. Is Cash right for you?Cash could be a wonderful companion for someone willing to invest time, patience, and understanding into helping him grow in confidence. He has a moderate energy level and enjoys exploring new places, making him a great match for adopters who like gentle adventures. Cash can be vocal when left alone, so any time apart will need to be built up gradually to help him settle. In the right home, with consistent guidance and a secure, loving environment, Cash has so much potential to flourish and become a loyal, affectionate best friend.

Cece, a 3 years old female Rottweiler available for adoption from Leicester Animal Rescue in Leicestershire

Leicester Animal Rescue

Cece

Leicestershire
SexFemale
Age3 years
BreedRottweiler

Adorable Cece came to us due to her owner’s ill health. Poor Cece has been with us for a few months now but has sadly not found the right home. Although she can be a little hesitant to meet new people, she is an absolute love bug once she knows you. Cece generally walks well on a lead but can be strong if she does decide to pull or if she’s feeling stubborn. She has started to be stand offish towards strangers when on walks as she feels like she needs to protect her owner and can get too carried away with play where she can jump up and mouth so she does need someone who will set boundaries from the start. Ideally, Cece is looking for a home with someone with experience of the breed. We will home her with children over the age of 15 years old. She would prefer to be the only pet in the home although she has been ok with visiting dogs with her previous owners. She also doesn’t like cats. Cece is possessive of her food and toys with dogs. She’s a big girl (approx 45kg!) who can sometimes be a bit boisterous. She loves to play and enjoys having a fuss. Sweet Cece will make a loving and loyal pet, she just needs someone to give her a chance to decompress and settle in
