Axel, a 2 years old male Rottweiler x Staffordshire Bull Terrier available for adoption from Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Somerset

Ferne Animal Sanctuary

Axel

Somerset
SexMale
Age2 years
BreedRottweiler x Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Meet Axel This handsome chap is Axel, who arrived at Ferne as a stray, so unfortunately his previous history is unknown. What we do know is that Axel is a bright and friendly boy with lots of potential. Axel has great recall, is friendly with other dogs both on and off lead, and is clean in his kennel. He’s also comfortable being left for 1–2 hours and travels well, making him a great companion for many lifestyles. Axel could live with older children (11+) following careful introductions. Due to his age and breed, he can be a bit bouncy and lively, so a home with very young children wouldn’t be suitable. He will need some ongoing training to walk nicely on a loose lead, and he does have a strong chase instinct with cats, so a cat-free home will be essential. Axel is a very intelligent boy and is highly food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding for him. With the right guidance and a loving home, he will thrive. If you can offer this happy boy a safe, loving home and a place to finally call his own, please apply through the rescue website. Read more & enquire Temperament: Lively, friendly. Weight: 29KG.

Branston, a 4 years old male Rottweiler available for adoption from Dogs Trust in Kent

Dogs Trust

Branston

Kent
SexMale
Age4 years
BreedRottweiler

Are you right for Branston?Branston is looking for a calm and predictable home, with active adopters who can take him on lots of exploring, sniffy adventures in quiet, low dog populated walking areas and secure fields, and will put time into building a bond with him and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He would do best in an adult only home with adopters who are comfortable with his size and strength, Branston does have a sensitive side and would benefit from adopters who will help build his confidence with lots of positive training and gentle handling. He will need to be the only pet in his new home so he can relax and enjoy all of his adopter’s attention to himself. He would like quiet walking areas as he finds interacting with dogs difficult, because of this he will be going home on a lead and muzzle disclaimer. His new family will need to be understanding and patient, willing to help him continue this training and to advocate for his personal space during walks, ideally in areas where there are not too many other dogs around so he can relax and enjoy his walkies. Branston will need his own secure and private garden for pottering and playing and for practicing his housetraining. He can enjoy some alone time, up to around 1-2 hours, but he'll need a slow and gentle introduction to this once he's comfortable in his new surroundings. While Branston has learned many tricks already, he's eager to expand his repertoire and is quick to engage, especially if there are treats involved. Branston will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home with potential home visits to make sure he is settling in well so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Buffy, a 4 years old female Rottweiler available for adoption from Dogs Trust in Warwickshire

Dogs Trust

Buffy

Warwickshire
SexFemale
Age4 years
BreedRottweiler

Are you right for Buffy?Say hello to the lovely Buffy! This sweet girl has had a bit of a tough start, but she’s now ready to turn the page and find her forever home. Buffy absolutely loves her toys, especially a good game of fetch and once she feels comfortable, she’s all about rolling in the grass and snuggling up for fuss. We feel Buffy would be best suited to a calm home with children 16+ who can learn to understand her body language. It's important she can have her own safe space to retreat to if she's feeling scared or overwhelmed. Buffy needs her own safe and secure garden where she can safely play and explore without any worries. She’s previously lived in a home and was housetrained, though she may need a little refresher as she settles in again. Buffy can find it difficult being left alone, so she’s hoping for a family who can be around most of the time and help her build confidence with gentle, consistent support.Buffy is currently hoping to be the only pet in her new home and would love a family who can continue supporting her socialisation once she’s settled into her forever home. For now, she may benefit from enjoying walks in quieter areas while she builds confidence and works on her social skills. Buffy's favourite things are either snuggling up on the sofa with her favourite people, off lead zoomies at the secure field or learning some new skills which means lots of tasty treats!

Cece, a 3 years old female Rottweiler available for adoption from Leicester Animal Rescue in Leicestershire

Leicester Animal Rescue

Cece

Leicestershire
SexFemale
Age3 years
BreedRottweiler

Adorable Cece came to us due to her owner’s ill health. Poor Cece has been with us for a few months now but has sadly not found the right home. Although she can be a little hesitant to meet new people, she is an absolute love bug once she knows you. Cece generally walks well on a lead but can be strong if she does decide to pull or if she’s feeling stubborn. She has started to be stand offish towards strangers when on walks as she feels like she needs to protect her owner and can get too carried away with play where she can jump up and mouth so she does need someone who will set boundaries from the start. Ideally, Cece is looking for a home with someone with experience of the breed. We will home her with children over the age of 12 years old. She would prefer to be the only pet in the home although she has been ok with visiting dogs with her previous owners. She also doesn’t like cats. Cece is possessive of her food and toys with dogs. She’s a big girl (approx 45kg!) who can sometimes be a bit boisterous. She loves to play and enjoys having a fuss. Sweet Cece will make a loving and loyal pet, she just needs someone to give her a chance to decompress and settle in

Conan, a 6 years old male Rottweiler available for adoption from Dogs Trust in Warwickshire

Dogs Trust

Conan

Warwickshire
SexMale
Age6 years
BreedRottweiler

Are you right for Conan?Meet our big, handsome boy Conan! He has come into our care through no fault of his own, after spending most of his life in a loving home. Conan is housetrained, though he may need a little refresher as he settles back into home life. This gorgeous lad has been an absolute joy to look after. He adores spending time with his carers especially if there’s a good bum scratch involved!Conan is searching for a home with children aged 14+ who are confident around large, bouncy dogs. Conan would like to be the only dog in his new home, where he can gradually work on his social skills out and about. He’s already a pro at wearing his muzzle and is happy to wear it out and about on his walkies in busy areas, however he doesn't need to wear it all the time. Conan will need his own secure garden to run around and play in. Being left alone can make Conan feel unsettled, so he would love a home where he has company for most of the day. Once he’s comfortable, his time alone should be built up gradually and with positive guidance to help him feel settled and comfortable. Conan loves nothing more than playing with toys and enjoys playing raggy. He's always up for a game of catch or fetch, but soft toys don't often last long when Conan is around! He loves to learn new things and show off some things he already knows for a treat or two. This clever boy is very food motivated which we're sure will aid in teaching him all he needs to know.
