This lovely lad is Bentley, a 10 year old westie cross who initially came into us 7 years ago, he was adopted by a wonderful guy and Bentley was his absolute world, very sadly he passed away recently so Bentley has come back into us for rehoming. He's a really happy little chap and very loving with his people, he's protective in the home and will bark and growl at visitors, if they meet him outside and come in with him he's absolutely fine but would ideally need someone confident in dealing with this, or with low visits to the home!Bentley out and about is hit and miss with dogs, he will ignore most but sometimes barks at them, he definitely will want to be an only dog in the home. He's very much a cuddly boy in the home, he loves a belly rub and to sit with his fosters while they work.We wouldn't home him with any young. Kids, ideally Bentley needs an adult only home where he will be someone else's world againHe is a little chunky so needs to lose a tiny bit of weight, he loves his walks!Bentley is neutered, chipped and has restarted his vaccines. His adoption donation would be £120 applications to our website please

Lou

Age11 years
BreedWest Highland White Terrier

Lou is around 11years old but please don't let her age put you off. Lou is a fabulous character very much young at heart. She is an active and adventurous girl who absolutely loves her walks and days out. Lou is ideally looking for a home with other dogs of a similar size and nature. She is currently very happy and content living in a multi dog foster with other friendly, active and playful dogs. She could possibly live as an only dog with owners that have lots of time to spend with her. Lou very much enjoys her walks , she walks well on lead and loves to zoom about off lead in a secure area. Equally once home she is content to just relax for the rest of the day. Lou would like a home with a nice secure garden to enjoy. She can be left with the other dogs for reasonable periods but would prefer a home with someone around more often than not as this is simply what she's always been used to. Lou sleeps happily on the sofa downstairs at night, house training is just about there, she travels well, is very people friendly. Lou is a big foodie but does have allergies and needs to eat a particular diet. Health wise Lou arrived a little overweight but with good food in moderation and regular exercise her weight is coming down nicely. Lou does have Cushing's and needs daily medication. She takes meds with her evening meal daily. Meds cost around £60/70 per month. She will need blood tests every 6/12mths to monitor . Any potential home must be financially secure and able to meet her medical outgoings.

Milan, a 3 years old male West Highland White Terrier available for adoption from Islay Dog Rescue in Scotland

BreedWest Highland White Terrier

Milan is a 3-year-old crossbreed from Romania, weighing around 21kg. This medium-sized boy has been through a lot, but his gentle spirit and heart warming “smile” shine through. He can be a little sensitive and nervous when meeting new people or facing unfamiliar situations. However, once he learns to trust you, Milan becomes incredibly affectionate and loves spending time with his humans. He has a playful side too—he enjoys toys, games, and walks beautifully on a lead.Milan gets along well with other dogs and, with careful introductions, could happily live with a canine companion. He has met a cat before and showed little interest until it ran—then the chase instinct kicked in—so a cat-free home (or one with a very dog-savvy cat) would be best. It’s unlikely Milan has lived in a home before, so he may need support with toilet training and settling into domestic life. Due to his initial wariness, he would be best suited to a calm home with no children or older, dog-aware children.Despite everything he’s been through, Milan is a happy, loving soul. With patience, reassurance, and time to adjust, he will blossom into a loyal and devoted companion. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for parasites and neutered. His adoption fee is £400, which helps rescue other dogs in need.Could you be the calm, patient, and loving home Milan is waiting for?
