Bella is an exceptionally sweet and affectionate girl who loves human attention and is always wagging her tail. She enjoys her walks and loves getting out and about, but when she’s back at home, nothing makes her happier than curling up on your lap for extra cuddles.Bella would make a wonderful companion for someone who is home for much of the day and can give her plenty of love and attention. While she can be left alone for short periods, any time spent on her own should be built up gradually to help her settle comfortably into her new routine.

Name: Bert Sex: Male Age: 8 years old Breed: Shih Tzu X Size: Small (12kg) Arrival Date: 01/10/2024Name: BertSex: MaleAge: 8 years oldBreed: Shih Tzu XSize: Small (12kg)Arrival Date: 01/10/2024Bert has had some negative experiences in his life which has led to some fears around meeting new people. Bert certainly appreciates a slow introduction but he is a little guy that’s worth taking the time to get to know. This means that potential adopters would need to be prepared to make lots of visits to the Sanctuary over quite a period of time in order to build up a positive relationship with Bert. When Bert learns to trust you get to see a lovely playful little guy full of energy.Bert also struggles with some resource guarding issues so we would prefer adopters to have knowledge of resource guarding and be prepared to manage this behaviour in a positive way.Bert will be part of our Aprils Wish program so you will have the added benefit of some sessions with a highly qualified behaviourist pre- and post- adoption in an effort to help you understand and manage Bert’s issues.Due to his issues, Bert will need an adult only home.Although Bert has been an only dog we will consider homes with other dogs pending successful meet and greets.AN APPLICATION FORM MUST BE COMPLETED TO BE CONSIDERED We are open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1.30pm – 4.00pm.If you are interested in offering this dog a home and you meet the criteria listed, then please click on the following link to complete an online application or visit us during the above days and times. If you are being considered we will be in touch to arrange an appointment for you to meet the dog and start the rehoming process. All parts of the form must be completed to ensure your application can be processedIf you are being considered to commence the adoption process you will receive a call from a mobile number ending in 081; due to time constraints there will be a limited timescale to answer or respond to our message.https://midantrim.org/dog-application

I’m a 7 year 2 month old ShiChi with a heart full of love, and if you’re looking for a cuddly companion, then I think we might be the perfect match!I can be a little nervous when meeting new people at first, but it doesn’t take me long to realise that most people are actually pretty wonderful. Once I’ve had a chance to get to know you, my affectionate side comes out in full force, and you’ll soon have a loyal little shadow by your side. The kennel team say I’m one of the cuddliest boys around. I absolutely love being held and snuggled up close to my favourite people. If you’re sitting down, there’s a good chance I’ll be trying to find my way onto your lap for some quality cuddle time! And if that wasn’t enough, I’m also very generous with my kisses – I love giving little licks to the people I care about to show them just how much they mean to me.I’m currently living with my doggy family, so I may be able to live with another dog in my new home following successful introductions.Like many little dogs, I can be a bit barky when I’m out and about and spot other dogs. I like to make sure everyone knows I’m there! But please don’t let that put you off. I’m a lovely boy underneath it all and have happily lived with other dogs before.I’ve never met a cat, so the kennel team aren’t sure whether I’d be able to live with one or not.I’ve also been around children before and enjoyed being part of family life, so I could potentially live with children who are respectful and understand that I may need a little time to settle into my new surroundings. The kennel team are still getting to know me and will update my profile as they learn more about my personality, likes, dislikes, and ideal home.If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate boy who loves cuddles, being held, and giving kisses, then I could be the one you’ve been waiting for.Could you be my forever family? My adoption fee is £260.

‹› Dolly and Teddy This pair arrived in a very neglected state but despite everything, they were such happy and friendly little souls! They have been thoroughly vet checked, had antibiotics, medicated baths and a good groom to remove the heavy matting and they are looking good Teddy’s hair is growing in so well and skin is looking amazing. Dolly is hugely improved but will still need medicated baths twice weekly until we have her skin looking perfect. They are not related but have lived together for many years and despite Dolly being a bossy boots, they do adore each other.

Many Tears Animal Rescue
I WOULD LIKE A HOME WITH MY FRIEND HOLLY06-06-26 Heelie is a delightful older lady who has come to us from a home through no fault of her own with her best friend Holly. She was originally adopted from us in 2013 and went on to enjoy many happy years with her owner. Sadly, her owner has become too unwell to care for them, and their family made the difficult decision to help find them a new home.Heelie is a sweet little lady who enjoys pottering around and taking life at a gentler pace. She takes great comfort from the company of her friend Holly, and the pair are very much bonded. Because of this, they will be looking for a home together where they can continue to enjoy each others company.Having already lived in a home, Heelie is familiar with all the sights and sounds of home life and seems to be missing her creature comforts. Although she is currently a little worried and unsure of her surroundings, she still has a good appetite and is happy to take treats from us.Heelie can already walk on a harness, but as she is an older lady, she would prefer slower, shorter strolls where she can potter around. She can live with dog-savvy older children who are sensible and gentle.A slower pace of life would be ideal for Heelie and Holly, where they can enjoy plenty of comfort, companionship, and relaxed days together.Heelie is a lovely older girl who has already known the comforts of a loving home. We hope that she and Holly can find another special family together, where they can enjoy all the love, warmth, and sofa time they deserve.Heelie has arrived slightly overweight, so she will need a good diet and gentle exercise to help her reach and maintain a healthy weight. Our vets have noted that she is a little stiff and can occasionally limp, this is most likely linked to her age and so she has been started on join supplements to see if this will help her. She has recently had 5 teeth removed during a dental procedure and was already missing a few on arrival.
