19-07-26 Ulyssa has come to us from a breeder to find the loving forever home she deserves. She is a very scared little girl who is feeling overwhelmed by all the changes in her life. She will need plenty of kindness, patience and reassurance as she begins to settle and learn that the world can be a safe place.Ulyssa is looking for a calm, quiet, adult-only home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs. She can be very flighty and is extremely uncomfortable with humans. She will need a family who understand that progress may be slow at times and who will allow her to build trust at her own pace without expecting too much too soon.Ulyssa takes great comfort from the company of other dogs and will need to live with at least one other kind and confident resident dog who can help guide her, reassure her and show her that people and home life are nothing to be afraid of. Having a canine friend will be essential in helping her grow in confidence.She has never lived in a home before, so her new family will need to be patient and understanding while she learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She will need a resident dog in the home that is of similar size, or could potentially be homed with a dog medium sized or larger, depending on the meet and greet. She does not yet walk on a lead or harness and will need to first practice around the home and garden until she is feeling brave enough to venture further.Ulyssa is a gentle soul who has a long journey ahead of her, but with experienced, compassionate adopters and the support of a confident canine companion, she will slowly begin to blossom.
