Age5 years
BreedCaucasian Shepherd

Bella is a Caucasian Ovcharka of around 5 years. She is an absolutely stunningly beautiful girl inside and out. Loyal and loving. An affectionate and very sweet girl in the home with her people. In the home she is very much chilled out and laid back. A content and happy character. Not in the least bit demanding. She loves fuss and attention, belly rubs and generally to be close to her people. Very much a gentle giant with her people. An adorable big lump. She is perfectly happy being left alone for reasonable periods. She is housetrained. She sleeps through in the same room as her human at night without a peep. Bella is muzzle trained. She walks well on lead and loves to have a gallop about in a secure off lead area. She needs careful introductions to other dogs and actually loves doggy company when this is done correctly. As per her breed she is initially wary of strangers but she is in fact incredibly people friendly and again when safely introduced she loves to be made a fuss of. She has behaved impeccably at vet appointments . She has had a full groom whilst in rescue and did wonderfully... the groomers very much smitten with our lovely girl and much impressed with her good behaviour and nature. She has lived with a respectful teenager whom she adores but has not been around young children. Bella is a giant breed and needs a good sized secure garden or land home. We are looking for a home with large breed and/or guardian experience. Bella will only go to a loving pet home. Bella is spayed and in good health. Currently eats a raw diet which she is thriving on. Bella has spent time around horses, chickens and cats in a farm type setting and doesn't show any particular interest. Bella travels well. She will come with all of her own kit including harness , muzzle collar etc. The rescue will provide full guidance on how to support Bella and help settle her into her forever home . We are looking for a committed home that has done their due diligence and is knowledgeable about guardian traits and has some relevant experience ie giant/guardian/working breed of some sort...

I have more photos below! Caucasian Shepherd Age: 5 Years Dog Friendly? Yes Cat Friendly? Lived with Cats Previously Child Friendly? Children over 15 Neutered? No Location: Nottingham, UK Gorgeous Coco is looking for a home where she can do what she was bred for – to be a loyal guardian, watching over her territory and keeping her people safe. The Caucasian Shepherd is a large and powerful guardian breed from the Caucasus Mountains. Originally bred to protect livestock from predators, they are fearless, loyal, and highly protective. Coco is not your average house pet and will need a very special kind of home. Coco certainly kept us on our toes when she first arrived. After spending the first five years of her life with one family, she sadly came to us after they separated. She passed all her initial assessments and showed herself to be a loving family pet. However, the change in environment caused her significant stress. It took our head rescuer several days of consistent visits (and quite a few chicken sausages!) before Coco began to relax and trust us enough to move her to an outdoor kennel – a setting she much prefers. Now, she’s starting to show her cheeky, flirtatious side – wagging her tail and play-bowing when you arrive. We’ve been introducing her to new people slowly, always with plenty of treats to help build trust. Coco needs a very specific kind of home where she can truly thrive. Ideally, we’re looking for a rural home with land – perhaps a smallholding or a farm – where she can satisfy her natural instincts to protect and patrol. In her previous home, she would spend most of the day outdoors surveying her territory, coming inside in the evenings knowing her job was done. She has previously lived with cats and young children, but due to her size and strength, any introductions would need to be handled with care and caution. Adoption fees apply. Microchipped.

Orietta

Age7 years
BreedCaucasian Shepherd

Orietta’s journey has been a challenging one, but her gentle spirit has shone through every step of the way. She was rescued from a home in heartbreaking conditions, where her elderly owner, struggling with mental health difficulties, could no longer provide proper care. Though never intentionally mistreated, Orietta went without the love, attention, and care she deserved. Now safe with us, she is finally experiencing stability, kindness, and the affection she has always longed for. This beautiful girl has blossomed remarkably since her arrival. Orietta is always wagging her tail and loves spending time with people she trusts. She happily allows fuss, brushing, baths, and even ear cleaning, a true angel who has embraced the love and care she has been given. On the lead, she walks beautifully and now really enjoys getting out for walks and little adventures and is a favourite of many volunteers!Orietta is a big foodie, and her love of treats, especially squeezy cheese, has been key in building her trust and confidence. While she may still be wary of new people at first and may bark when someone enters her kennel, a calm approach and a little patience quickly reassure her that there is nothing to fear. Once she feels comfortable, her wonderfully goofy and affectionate personality really shines through, bringing smiles to everyone who spends time with her.Orietta spent time in a home recently and we were completely over the moon for her, believing her time in kennels had finally come to an end. Unfortunately, she turned out to be a little too friendly and enthusiastic with the resident dog, which sadly meant she had to return to our care. Because of this, Orietta is now looking for a home where she can be the only dog. That said, she absolutely loves other dogs and really enjoys playing with them, so she would still benefit from regular doggy playdates with well-matched friends. She will thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. Orietta could live with older, dog-savvy teenagers aged 16 and over who understand that she will need a gentle introduction to home life and her own space to relax. She would benefit from adopters who have experience with large breed dogs. Having never truly settled into home life before, she will need patient adopters to guide her as she learns routines and skills such as house training. Due to her size, a secure garden with high fencing is essential.Orietta arrived underweight, with missing teeth, scabs, ear infections, cysts, and some unsteadiness when walking, but she has made incredible progress. Her strength and confidence continue to grow each day, and she is now a joyful, affectionate, and trusting companion. She is currently being treated for a persistent ear infection.Orietta has now spent quite some time at the rescue. While we know some dogs take longer than others to find their forever homes, it has been especially difficult knowing that all 34 of the dogs that came in with her have now been adopted, and Orietta is still waiting. Everyone here absolutely adores her. She is a total goofball with a beautiful personality and an endless amount of love to give. This special girl is looking for a home just as extraordinary as she is, a calm, loving space where she can continue to blossom and finally feel completely safe, cherished, and part of a family. Orietta is a true sweetheart, and the joy of seeing her thrive in her forever home will be immeasurable. Whoever gives Orietta her chance will be incredibly lucky to have her.

Meet Shaila our beautiful Central Asian Shepherd mix.Shaila arrived at Battersea through no fault of her own. She has a lovely history in her prior home, her previous owners noting how she was a well behaved and affectionate girl who loved to follow her owners around.Onsite we have seen the same lovely girl although she does have a little bit of a sensitive soul! Shaila has all the characteristics you would expect from a guarding breed and can be reactive to both people and dogs, however under this exterior is a gentle and affectionate girl who loves her known people and will often be leaning into them, wanting a big fuss. Shaila is at times worried of other dogs but can greet friendly, often hiding her nerves by diffusing with play. She would prefer to be the only dog in the home with new owners who are confident in socialising her in neutral spaces.Shaila is looking for experienced owners who have a good understanding of guarding breeds, but more importantly have owned or researched Shaila's specific breed, as we will be looking for a very specific home for her to ensure realistic expectations. She will need to live away from the inner city, ideally in the countryside, and would love to have her own private garden and could live with older teenagers in her new home.Sweet Shaila really is a delightful girl who has won everyone over with her gentle nature.
