Carry

SexFemale
Age5 years
BreedCavalier King Charles Spaniel X Poodle

Carry is a sweet and gentle girl who came to us from a breeder looking for a fresh start. When she first arrived, she was very scared and unsure of people, but she has already made some wonderful progress during her time with us and is becoming more confident every day.Carry is now a happy and lively little lady with a constantly wagging tail. She has discovered toys and is learning how to play with them, something she is thoroughly enjoying, and she has also revealed herself to be quite the foodie, which has been a great help in building her confidence.Although Carry is still nervous about direct handling and may move away if approached too quickly, she is incredibly curious and always likes to be close by, watching what is going on. She is happy to approach people for a sniff and will gently take treats from your hand, showing just how far she has come already. We feel it won't be long before she starts to feel comfortable accepting gentle fusses from those she trusts.Carry will be looking for a calm and quiet adult-only home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace. She relies heavily on other dogs for reassurance and will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home. A canine companion will help guide her through new experiences and provide comfort as she settles into family life.As Carry has never lived in a home before, her adopters will need to be understanding while she learns the basics, such as house training and walking on a lead. We have not yet started harness training with her, but as her confidence continues to grow, we feel she is becoming ready to begin exploring this next step. Her adopters should be prepared to continue this training gently and positively once she is home.Carry is the kind of dog who can brighten even the darkest of days. She is an absolute joy to spend time with and, in a loving home where she is given patience, understanding, and plenty of reassurance, we believe she will truly blossom into a happy and trusting companion. Our vets have noted that Carry has a Grade 3 patella luxation in her right hind leg. This is not causing her any issues at present and may improve with gentle exercise, but it will need to be monitored by her adopters and their veterinary team. Should treatment be required in the future, this condition would not be covered by insurance.Carry has a travel document.Carry has been given the Gift of Life by Wendy Bowen

Cloe is a very worried little lady who has come to us from a breeding environment and is still learning that people can be kind. It is clear she has had very little positive experience with humans in the past, and as a result she finds trust incredibly difficult. She can be flighty when worried and may choose to protect herself if she feels pressured or uncomfortable.Cloe is a sweet but complex girl who has already shown us that, once she truly trusts someone, she has a wonderful and affectionate side. With her favourite member of staff, the very first person who cared for her when she arrived, she is a completely different dog. She happily approaches for attention, enjoys gentle fusses, is comfortable being picked up, and greets him with excitement and affection. Watching the bond they have built is incredibly special and shows just how much potential Cloe has when given the time she needs to feel safe. However, trust does not come easily to Cloe, and she remains very wary of most people. She is still uncomfortable with handling from those she does not know well and may nip if she feels she needs to protect herself. This is not through malice, but simply because she is frightened and has not yet learned that she does not need to be afraid.Cloe will need a calm and quiet adult-only home with no visiting children and adopters who have experience of very worried ex-breeding dogs. Her new family will need to understand that building a relationship with her is likely to take time and that progress will come through patience, consistency, and allowing her to make her own choices. The best way to win Cloe over is to let her approach on her own terms. She needs people who can resist the temptation to rush her and instead allow her to work out for herself that they are safe and trustworthy. Once she reaches that point, we believe she has the potential to become a truly loving and devoted companion.Cloe absolutely loves the company of other dogs and will need a kind, calm, and confident resident dog in her new home. Having a canine friend gives her comfort and reassurance and will help guide her as she learns about life beyond the rescue. As she has never lived in a home before, Cloe's adopters will need to be patient as she learns all about home life, including house training and other everyday routines. She does not yet walk on a lead and harness and will need time to become comfortable with handling before this training can begin.Although progress with Cloe may be slow at times, she has already shown that she is capable of forming strong bonds when given the opportunity. In a loving home where she has all the time in the world to build trust, we believe she will continue to blossom and reveal the sweet little girl we know is there.Cloe has had 7 teeth extracted at the time of her spay, as well as an inguinal hernia repaired. She also had a lump removed from her right upper eyelid.Cloe has a travel document.Cloe has been given the Gift of Life by Carol Unsworth

Holiday, a 2 years old female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel X Bichon Frise available for adoption from Many Tears Animal Rescue in Wales

Holiday

Wales
SexFemale
Age2 years
BreedCavalier King Charles Spaniel X Bichon Frise

Holiday originally came to us from a breeder. She was adopted and found a lovely home, but sadly it wasn't the right match for her and the resident dog wouldn't accept her, so she came back into our care. Holiday has now moved to a foster home where she is settling well and learning all about home life.Holiday is a very scared girl who is overwhelmed and clearly hasn't had much socialisation before. She finds human interaction quite worrying at the moment and is very hand-shy, so she will need a patient and understanding home that can help her come out of her shell at her own pace. Holiday's initial instinct is to run away from you and she isn't keen on being picked up or handled. She finds this so frightening that if she feels pushed beyond her comfort zone, she may react by nipping out of fear. She did nip her previous adopter once when she became overwhelmed during handling.Holiday will still be looking for a calm and quiet, adult-only home with no visiting children. She will need adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and who will allow her to settle slowly, with no pressure or expectations. She relies heavily on other dogs for comfort and reassurance and will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing.Since returning to us, Holiday has begun to make some really encouraging progress. At the rescue we have been working with her on very gentle touch, always entirely on her terms and she has been doing well with this. She has recently moved to a foster home where she is settling in and is now happy to approach her fosterers to take a treat and will sniff their hands. She is very curious when the other dogs in the home are getting gentle fusses and the next step will be getting her used to a gentle fuss in her foster home.Minus her brief adoption, Holiday has never lived in a home before, but she seems to be enjoying life in her foster home, she likes to spend her evenings in the living room sitting on a rug or by the sofa and isn't phased by the TV. She has so far been clean in the house and loves to snuggle up with the other dogs in the kitchen overnight. She has been left home with other dogs for a few hours and coped very well.Holiday doesn't yet walk on a lead and will find this quite overwhelming, but she has visited a secure field with her fosterers and absolutely loves spending time there exploring and watching the other dogs play. She has even done a little sprint around it!Holiday is a very special girl who will need someone willing to go slowly and earn her trust, but for the right home, the rewards will be incredibly meaningful. There is always someone out there for every dog, and Holiday is patiently waiting for hers.Holiday has been given the Gift of Life by Ellie Worron

Hi, I’m Louie, a sweet, affectionate, and cheeky 1-year-old Cavapoo looking for my forever home.My ideal home would be a quiet, adult-only household where I can continue to build my confidence, explore the world at my own pace, and be the centre of attention. I’m still a young boy and haven’t had many opportunities to experience different environments, so some situations can feel a little overwhelming. Busy places aren’t really my idea of fun! I much prefer peaceful countryside walks where I can enjoy the sights and smells away from the hustle and bustle. The good news is that I travel really well in the car, so I’m always ready for a countryside adventure.I enjoy spending time with other dogs when I’m out and about, although I can sometimes find waiting to say hello a little tricky. While I’d love to be the apple of someone’s eye, there may be potential for me to live with a well-matched dog in the future, provided we have several successful introductions first. I’m also housetrained and would love a secure garden with 6ft fencing where I can safely enjoy some outdoor time.I’m looking for people who are understanding, patient, and empathetic—people who are willing to give me the time, support, training, and occasional space I need to thrive. Ideally, my new guardians would be around for most of the day while I settle into my new home and routine. Any time spent alone will need to be introduced gradually and at a pace that feels comfortable for me.I absolutely love life and have lots of energy, but I do have an ongoing medical condition called bilateral luxating patella, which is currently managed with pain medication. If you’d like to know more about my condition, the team will be happy to answer any questions. As an energetic breed, I’ll need a family who understands my exercise needs and can provide plenty of enrichment to keep my clever brain occupied.I’m a warm, whimsical little boy with a huge personality, a playful spirit, and so much love to give. If you think we could be the perfect match, I can’t wait to meet you.Key info: Adults only, Small breed, Housetrained, Secure garden, Only pet in the home, Needs to build leaving hours

Penny is an adorable 8 year old Cavapoo, described by her fosterer as a wonderful little diva and an ideal companion dog.She is quite anxious and really needs a calm home where her new person or people can offer a quiet, relaxed environment where she can have gentle routine and structure. What Penny needs: Adult only home – she finds small children too noisy and unpredictable and will bark and growl at them. Pet free home – Penny will chase cats and is happiest as an only dog – this girl loves all the attention for herself! A home with a secure garden – Penny loves regular walks but adores pootling about in the garden. She does not ask to go out so quick, easy and regular access to a garden is good for her toileting needs. Regular routine home grooming and a professional groom every 2-3 months.Penny takes time to get to know and trust new people so we are looking for new owners who can take their time in getting to know her, and will understand the need to give her time and space around strangers/visitors to the home.Once she trusts you she is the sweetest dog and someone will be very lucky to have such a lovely companion

Ravix is a nervous girl who has come into our care from a breeder. She is finding kennel life a little overwhelming at the moment and prefers to stay close to her doggy friends where she feels safest.Right now, Ravix is still feeling quite unsure, but she is beginning to show small and encouraging signs of progress. She has started to approach people for a gentle sniff before backing away again, which may seem like a small step, but for Ravix it is a huge milestone and shows she is slowly building confidence. She continues to draw comfort from the company of her kennel mates, so we feel she will need to be homed with a calm and confident resident dog who can offer reassurance and help guide her as she adjusts to life outside of kennels.Ravix’s carers have been able to gently approach her and introduce a harness, and she is beginning to get used to wearing one. This is an important early step before she starts learning to walk on a lead. With nervous dogs like Ravix, taking things slowly and at her pace will be key to helping her succeed, and little by little her personality is starting to shine through. As Ravix has never lived in a home before, she will need patient adopters who can gently teach her all about house training, lead training, and the everyday basics of home life. A predictable routine and a quiet environment will help her build confidence at her own pace.We are looking for an adult-only home for Ravix so that she can settle into her new surroundings without too much noise or activity. She can be wary of sudden movements, so will need understanding adopters who are happy to give her time, space, and gentle encouragement as she begins to trust.Ravix has some hormonal alopecia, but this is already growing back nicely. She also has Grade 1 luxating patella, but this may improve with gentle exercise as she builds muscle. With kindness and patience, Ravix has the potential to form a very special bond with her new family and slowly grow into a devoted and gentle companion. She really is a sweet girl, and seeing her progress is incredibly heartwarming.Ravix has been given the Gift of Life by Lisa Williams
