Alba enjoys exploring the great outdoors so would make a great companion for those looking to keep their steps up. She could live with a calm canine roll model who can help her learn the ropes.Alba is learning about the joys of toy play , so this can be a great way to build a bond with her. She is looking for a secure garden to explore and play, as this is her favourite thing to do! Once she's tired himself out, he enjoys nothing more than a cuddle on your lap as she is a very tactile lady.New owners will need to be around for most of the day to help her settle in and learn how to spend time alone at her own pace. Meet Cayde! This lovely little boy is a Pug X Chihuahua and 6 years old. He is an active little boy who loves playing with his toys and going out on adventures! When Cayde is excited he can bark (it must be the Chihuahua in him), but he is easily distracted by treats! This clever little boy enjoys his training and would enjoy someone who would like to do some basic training with him. He would like an active family to take him on adventures but also enjoy having down time together as he loves to sit on the knee of his favourite people. Cayde can live with children (7+) and dogs (dependent on sucessful meets. He may also be able to live with cats. Due to the nature of the kennel environment we can not say if Cayde is house trained or not.

Daisy is a loving and affectionate girl who is looking for a home where someone will be around for most of the day to help her settle into home life.She has missed out on some basic training and socialisation, so her new owner will need experience and be committed to continuing her training, including recall, lead walking, house training and building her confidence.Daisy can be nervous around larger, boisterous dogs, so if her new home already has a dog, she would prefer a calm, small-breed male who will help her feel safe and settled.Although Daisy isn’t particularly interested in toys at the moment, with patience, encouragement and time spent with her owner, we hope she will begin to enjoy playing games and sharing those special moments together.

Dolly has been in foster for 6 weeks and come really far with training. She's still learning but is well behaved for her age. She loves a lot of exercise, going for runs and endless cuddles. She's a very loving dog and will do most things for a treat.

Safe Rescue For Dogs

Grace is a small crossbreed (possibly pug chihuahua in the mix?) aged around four years old. living with a cat. Needs resident dog(s). Adult only quiet home. Grace has come into our care recently from the Botosani public shelter in Romania. She was terrified in the shelter environment and, although still very timid here, she is gradually progressing in confidence. She will need the company of another dog or dogs in her forever home. Despite being scared she has never so much as snapped at any of us whilst handling her. She is a delicate little soul living in a world of giants that she is only now starting to understand. Grace is not a quick fix and will not be a friendly little lap dog overnight. She needs an adopter that understands that trust takes time to earn when you have only ever been let down and failed by humans. It’s a long road ahead but an incredibly rewarding and worthwhile one. She is tense to the touch and she flinches at sudden movements, there’s a lot of emotional wounds to heal that only time, patience and love can patch up. Grace will need a quiet home environment with no children. She can live with cats and must have at least one dog in full time residence.Grace fostered Poringland NorfolkAdoption Donation Fees are Puppies already neutered and all adult dogs: £430. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs).When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate. Fences and gates must be 5foot minimum in height and secure.

She may have originally come from a breeder, but she has experienced life as a much-loved pet, and it really shines through in her wonderful personality.Honey absolutely adores people and simply wants to please. She is a friendly, affectionate girl who loves spending time with her humans and enjoys all the fuss and attention she can get. She has the confidence to be an only dog in a home where her family are around for much of the day to give her the love and companionship she thrives on. Equally, she could happily live with a kind and friendly resident dog who doesn't mind sharing their home. She has also met cats well and could possibly be homed with a dog savvy cat.Honey walks beautifully on a lead and would love a family who enjoy getting out and about on plenty of adventures together. As she has previously lived in a home, she is already familiar with many aspects of family life and may already know the basics, such as house training. However, as with any dog moving into a new environment, she may need a little time and gentle guidance as she settles into her new routine.Honey could live with older, dog-savvy children who are sensible and respectful around dogs. She is a truly lovely girl with so much love to give and is looking for a family who will cherish her as much as she will cherish them.
