Aengus forms very strong bonds with his people and loves nothing more than being close to them-ideally curled up on a lap. Due to severe separation anxiety, Aengus is looking for a home with at least two adults who can ensure he is not left alone for long periods. He would suit a household where someone is around for most of the day and where his need for companionship can be accommodated. Aengus is initially nervous around new people and can take a little time to build trust. However, once he gets to know someone, he forms incredibly strong and loyal bonds. His current foster home has seen him blossom in confidence, revealing a playful and loving personality that wasn’t immediately apparent when he first arrived. He enjoys playing with his ball and loves getting out for walks, making him a wonderful companion for people who enjoy spending time outdoors as well as relaxing at home. For Aengus’s comfort and wellbeing, he would be happiest as the only pet in the home, allowing him to receive the attention and stability he needs. As a Miniature Poodle, Aengus’s coat requires regular maintenance to keep it healthy and comfortable. Any potential adopter must be committed to his ongoing grooming needs, including regular brushing and professional grooming appointments as required. Aengus’s Ideal Home:

Alaska

Gloucestershire
SexMale
Age5 months
BreedSiberian Husky

Alaska is a beautiful husky but who came to us quite some time ago from the stray kennels Sadly on assessment, Alaska seemed in discomfort with his back left leg On further vet exam, it was discovered that Alaska had a previous injury to his hip which had not healed correctly, causing pain and havoc all down his leg It was a tough choice on what to do, but the priority was to rid Alaska of pain. Alaska underwent an operation on his hip this year, and has had subsequent physio and hydrotherapy since. He has made a wonderful recovery and the vet has signed him off to be adopted and is very happy with him! Alaska is a beautiful, affectionate and sweet boy, who we have got to know really well over the last few months. He is lovely to walk, calm at home, can be left for short periods, and has endless love to give! He is such an amazing boy, and we can’t wait to give a family the wonderful opportunity to add him to their home There is a possibility that Alaska may need a second operation to his kneecap. However the vet is hopeful that he won’t. This will be covered by the rescue should be need this done in the future (must be with our vet) and this can be discussed further. It will be important that a forever home keeps up with Alaska regular exercise to maintain the muscle he has in his leg, we have worked hard to get it to this point! Hello, I’m Aussie, and everything around me still feels very new. I’m only young and haven’t had many opportunities to experience the world, so I’m taking things one step at a time while I learn that new people, places and experiences can be safe.Right now, I find a lot of comfort in being around my siblings and puppy friends. They’ve helped me build a little confidence, and I’m slowly starting to come out of my shell. I’ve especially enjoyed spending time outside in the sunshine, and I’m beginning to discover how much fun toys can be when I have other puppies to play alongside.I’ve recently met an adult dog that I hadn’t known before. Although I was a little nervous at first, I was curious and wanted to say hello. Because of this, I think I’d really benefit from living with a calm, friendly dog who can show me the ropes. My new canine companion would need to be patient and let me approach at my own pace, rather than expecting me to be confident straight away.Walking on a lead is completely new to me, so I’m just getting used to wearing a harness before I begin exploring the outside world. There’s still lots for me to learn, but I’m making gentle progress every day.My ideal home will be peaceful, patient and understanding. Moving into a new environment is going to be a big change for me, so I’ll need plenty of time, space and reassurance while I settle in. With kindness, consistency and lots of gentle encouragement, I’m sure I’ll grow into a wonderful companion.*PLEASE NOTE – we are currently looking through application forms that are already on file. Potential adopters will be contacted shortly*

This charming girl adores people and is always ready to make new friends, often enthusiastically introducing herself with a cheerful jump and a wagging tail. Babs is still learning the ropes of home life and is making fantastic progress with her training every week. She’s a clever, determined dog who loves a challenge – especially if that challenge involves finding human snacks! Babs has taken well to crate training, which helps her feel safe and secure.Like many young-at-heart dogs, she can be excitable and occasionally forget her manners, so she’ll need patient adopters who can continue her training and provide consistent boundaries. She’s looking for a home where she can build confidence at her own pace and enjoy quieter walks while continuing to work on her dog social skills. If you're prepared to invest a little time and training into this special girl, Babs is ready to reward you with endless affection, laughter, and love. Can't adopt? Aura’s Rescue began after its founders visited Romania and witnessed the suffering of dogs in public shelters, where abuse, neglect, and abandonment were common. Inspired by a local rescuer named Aura, who cared for overlooked and long-stay dogs from her small home shelter, the team committed to helping those considered least likely to be adopted. The rescue focuses particularly on older, traumatised, and fearful dogs who have spent years waiting without hope. By bringing these dogs into foster homes in the UK, Aura’s Rescue provides patient rehabilitation, giving them the chance to adjust, heal, and finally experience safety and love.

The South West’s rural counties, coastline and quieter pace of life make it well suited to many rescue dogs. Dogs rehomed across the region are often matched with homes offering time, space and regular outdoor exercise. Many rescues operate over wide areas and rely on foster care to assess dogs before adoption. Regional adoption helps ensure dogs are placed into calm, supportive environments.
